A great turnout this week and it was lovely to see Nicos back at the meetings.

Nicos: -
Kataklismos – The story of Noah with a scientific perspective.
Caroline: -
Breaking the rules - Based on the style of Lee Child writing about Jack Reacher.
Maurice: -
Bertie & Jack – An amusing tale combining the styles of P.G.Wodehouse and Lee Child featuring a meeting between Bertie Wooster and Jack Reacher.
Stewart:
The Crockford Capers – A story of betrayal and revenge based on the style of P.G.Wodehouse.
John G:
The Case of the Reluctant Representative – The introduction of Dr. Watson to Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. John continued with a reading from The House of Silk, a Sherlock Holmes novel be Anthony Horowitz.
Quiz:
John W chaired a quiz on “Citizenship” in the run-up to coffee break.
Coffee break: 11.00 - 11.15 am
Jordi:
Jordi gave a view of “Crowd-funding” specifically for books. Details can be found on a website named “Unbound”.

Tiger: - A story based on a recent news item about the famous golfer.
Beryl:
Susie’s Secret: - Beryl read an excerpt from her new book which is to be launched at The Blue Olive on Monday 12 June at 5 p.m. John G commented that Beryl’s first book “Maggie’s Secret” had sold 9 copies in the U.S.A. the previous week.
Dee:
Where did it all go? - A short story about the perils and stresses of aging.
Homework:
From ideas by Nicos and Caroline, write approximately 500 words on Who you would take with you on Noah’s Ark and why, in your normal style. The chosen character can be from history, current or mythical.
