Rick showed the latest chapter of his UTube video of the East Sussex coast road: from Seaford to Rottingdean explaining how coastal erosion forced changes to be made to ike harbor and construction of a new one called Newhaven. In modern times a Lido was built, closed down during WW2, then reopened in the 1950’s only to fall into disrepair again, after a successful protest against its closure it was reopened in 2017.

 

Mike: The Darts Match.

An amusing story of a darts match and the characters involved in it. It ended when a Nun was injured but they won the game! You had to be there.

 

Irene: Summer Holidays

Another of Irenes childhood experiences, going camping with friends and relatives and growing up in a happy environment.

 

Rick: Ch 22

Mike and Val are at the US Base in Munich, with captured Peter Edwards and Gina under questioning each blames the other and the story unfolds. Meanwhile in London Police have searched Edwards’ flat and found lots of evidence about who is involved in the whole operation.

 

Patti: Christmas in Kenya/

Patti’s memories of a hot Christmas in Kenya in the time when white farmers were forced to surrender their farms to the government and relocate to the coastal areas. They had a traditional Christmas Dinner, then cooled off in the sea, Later they were enyertained by local dancers from the tribes in the area.

 

Jordi: The Unicorn.

Jordi investigates ancient evidence of unicorns and explains that they were probably Rhinos and the stories were distorted over the years. As usual a credible explanation of myths rom times gone by.

 

Bob: AphroditeDarkening

A new series of detective stories set in Cyprus. Let’s see how it develops.

 

A sparsley attended meeting but those attending had interesting and amusing contributions.
