Patti – Pinsent Manor Hotel

A Historical hotel is haunted by ghosts through the ages, including a family bricked up alive in the cellar. Now it is to be redeveloped into luxury apartments. Would you buy one?


Mike – The room with a view.

A newly married couple honeymoon in a high class hotel but when it comes to pay. They have no money. The strike a deal with the manager to work it off and possibly more…..


Rick – The Japanese Hotel

Rick stayed in a traditional Japanese hotel in Kyoto, a bit of a change to western hospitality.


Irene – Just a few hotel stories

Various tales from Irene’s experiences in hotels around the world.


John E. - Tale from an armed response officer

John’s team get a call to deal with a report of an old man with a loaded gun on a housing estate. They gain entrance to the house only to find the old man dead in the kitchen. Maybe something he ate?


Jackie – Hotels

Her experiences in hotels in different countries with different standards. Communal meals in the restaurant, and profitable visits to the Casino.


June – Hotels on tour

Extracts from her book highlighting difficulties in hotels with the orchestra, these include non payment of the bill in Europe to a violent earthquake in Japan.

The hotel staff had methods of revenge on difficult guests!


Richard – The ghost of Mickey Mouse.

A family go to Disneyworld and the children stray into the underground tunnels where they find Mickey, Minnie and their friends from Yesteryear.


Suzanne – Charlie in the Holy Land

An insight into lifestyle in Israel always under attack, Also a brief description of Israel’s history. Very interesting in light of the present situation in the region. More please!


Glen – From the Ritz to the pits

Glen’s working life involved building luxury hotels in the middle east cities, but the builders had less salubrious accommodation.

In Rhyl, Wales he was propositioned by a frisky landlady, and his room had a leaky roof!



Jenny – Hearbreak Hotel

The gradual breakdown of a relationship told in rhyme.


Gail – Hotels

Her holiday in Mexico is cancelled when a hurricane destroys the hotel,

Hotels abroad are compared to British Guest Houses, everybody has different feelings

about what they need from the accommodation.
